How metal plating works
In most metal plating processes, the metal to be deposited is dissolved in the electrolyte, while the object to be plated is cathodically polarized. The anode functions as the positive electrode, completing the electrical circuit and enabling controlled metal deposition onto the workpiece.
During plating, oxygen evolution occurs on the anode surface. Elicron’s titanium anodes are engineered to maintain stable geometry, high mechanical strength and consistent electrochemical performance under these conditions, ensuring uniform coatings and predictable process control.
