Salt-splitting Cells

Convert salt solutions directly into acids and bases for your process

Salt-splitting cells

Our salt-splitting cells enable industrial operators to transform brines into valuable process streams through membrane electrolysis. The electrified process replaces complex chemical conversion routes, reduces waste, and lowers carbon intensity.

The solution is designed for lithium refining, recycling, and other green-chemistry applications. It delivers industrial reliability, modular scalability, and consistent product quality – built for operations where efficiency, sustainability, and execution matter.

Why salt-splitting cells?

  • Direct conversion of salt solutions into acids and bases.
  • Simplified flowsheets with fewer chemical process steps.
  • Reduced reagent use, waste generation and carbon emissions.
  • Modular, scalable design for staged industrial deployment.
  • Proven reliability and consistent product quality in continuous operation.

How it works

Salt-splitting cells use membrane electrolysis to convert salt solutions into targeted chemical streams by applying electricity instead of relying on bulk chemical reagents. Inside the cell, selective membranes control ion transport between compartments while electrochemical reactions at the electrodes drive the formation of the desired products.

The result is a direct, electrified conversion process that simplifies flowsheets, reduces waste, and delivers consistent product quality in continuous industrial operation.
